Improve your Email Marketing Campaigns for Long-term Gain
Email marketing is the most cost-efficient way to attract, grow, and retain your client base. Common mistakes that can hinder success include: putting too much information into one email, forgetting a clear call-to-action, and inadequate follow up. By implementing the following three strategies, you can avoid common pitfalls that can hinder their success.
1. Be Brief
The best way to attract your client’s attention is to get right to the point. Provide value to your clients in a clear, concise way, so that they don’t have to skim through lots of text to try to figure it out (because they won’t!). They’ll appreciate your communication style and know what to expect when they see you in their inbox.
2. Include a Clear Call-To-Action (CTA)
Every email you send should have a purpose. For example, if you’re sending the client a reminder to continue coming to class, your CTA most stated clearly with a link to “Book My Next Class”. Make clear to the client what you want them to do, and engagement will increase.
3. Adequate Follow Up
Forgetting to follow up on an e-mail is a very unfortunate mistake. Don’t be afraid to remind clients of your previous e-mail (if they didn’t act on it). Circling back to check in on them will be effective and make you look like you’re on top of it.
Communicating with the various clients in your community can feel overwhelming. Starting with a clear objective, designing a strategy around that goal and keeping things brief but personal, will create a sense of order and purpose in your communication. The end result will be clients who feel more connected to your brand, which makes email marketing a worthy pursuit!
